From R&D to your Rooftops

Here are the facts

  • Australia has invested in this work through ARENA, and we want that investment to create long-term value here at home. Our aim is to keep the IP, the know-how and the commercial leadership in Australia.
  • We are partnering with leading global solar manufacturers because they already have the scale and capability to test, prototype and deploy new technology quickly. That gives us a faster path from Australian research to global impact.
  • Our role is to create the high-value singlet fission molecules, protect and license the IP, and support integration into existing production lines. This means we can create major value from Australia without needing to build giant manufacturing capacity ourselves.
  • In simple terms, our partners can manufacture at scale, but they do it using Australian-developed technology. That is how we keep value anchored in Australia while reaching global markets.

Our mission

  • We want Australian solar innovation to do more than stay in the lab. We want it to become a globally used technology that still creates value, capability and opportunity in Australia.
  • Our commercialisation approach is built around that goal. Keep the invention here, work with global partners for speed and scale, and make sure the highest-value parts of the opportunity remain Australian-led.

Our commercialisation model, simply

  • Invent in Australia
We develop the science, prove the technology, and build the IP portfolio here.
  • Build an Australian commercial vehicle
The spin-out structure is designed to hold or license the IP, manage partnerships, and lead commercial deployment from Australia.
  • Work with global manufacturing partners
Our partners use their R&D and pilot-line capability to test and integrate the technology quickly.
  • Supply molecules and license IP
The business model is based on specialty molecule supply, IP licensing, and technical integration support.
  • Keep value in Australia
Even when manufacturing happens globally, the ownership, specialist materials and commercial know-how remain rooted in Australia.
